• Industry-First 998cc Three-Cylinder Engine

Designed to bring a Pure Sport riding character like nothing else in the Side-by-Side world, the YXZ engine was built to deliver high-revving power with the character only an inline triple can provide. With a compact, counterbalanced, DOHC cylinder head, a 11.3:1 compression ratio and dry-sump lubrication, the YXZ1000R SS XT-R offers exceptional power and durability.

• Advanced Six-Speed Sequential Transmission

With its industry-exclusive six-speed Yamaha Auto Shift Technology, drivers can choose between three transmission modes through a convenient dash-mounted dial: AUTO a fully automatic mode for more relaxed driving; SPORT AUTO a more spirited, fully automatic mode that holds gears longer and shifts at higher RPMs; and SPORT SHIFT a traditional manual sport shift offering drivers full control of shift points through steering-column-mounted paddle shifters. Additionally, a low first gear improves low-speed performance, while the enhanced close-ratio gearing helps keep the engine in its optimal power band.

• Enhanced Clutch Setup

The YXZ1000R SS XT-R's clutch features a hub with radiating fins and added oil-lubrication ports for maximized heat dissipation, along with YCC-S programming to provide increased durability.

• Ergonomics Built for Performance

The YXZ1000R SS XT-R cockpit provides a balance of comfort and control with both the driver's seat and steering wheel adjustability to ensure the perfect fit. The cab features plush, high-back seats with extra lateral support and outside shoulder bolsters. Shaped floorboards supply generous legroom while still giving a planted feel.

• Supersport-Style Dashboard

Dash instruments draw inspiration from Yamaha's high-performance Supersport motorcycles. Functions include a digital speedometer, analog tachometer, programmable shift light, and readouts for 4WD mode, gear position, fuel level, trip meters, hour meter, coolant temperature warning and a clock.

The YXZ1000R SS XT-R features FOX® 2.5 Podium® RC2 shocks with dual-spring-rate adjustable crossovers. All four corners are fully adjustable spring preload, crossover adjustment, rebound and both high- and low-speed compression damping with a huge 16.2 inches of front travel and 17.0 inches at the rear, along with exceptional ride quality, tuneability and handling.
